Arts Campus

Verification: Human verified

The Arts Campus is a vibrant campus area in Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, located to the right of the main quad and entered through a gate. Unlocking this area during Chapter 5 marks the beginning of the "A Strong St-Art" quest and unlocks the "Acting Out" achievement, which is a story-progression milestone completed by approximately 21.4% of players. Players will navigate through specialized sub-locations like the Theater Workshop and the Costume Shop while interacting with faculty members such as Professor Chortkoff and Professor Slip.

How to Complete

To progress through Chapter 5 ("A Strong St-Art"), players must make their way to the Arts campus from the main quad, pass through the gate, and speak immediately with Professor Chortkoff. This unlocks the primary storyline quests associated with the area, which involve evaluating student auditions and solving costume design puzzles.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Casting a Wide Net

  • Head to the Theater Workshop, located to the left of the main gate, and speak with Professor Chortkoff again inside.
  • Review the Audition Sides sheet provided by Chortkoff to determine if each student's lines are correct, pinning their headshots to either "Pretty Rough" (no) or "Got the Stuff" (yes).
    • Pretty Rough: Phoebe Geebys, Brenda Flops, Garth Dolomew, Vincent VanStop
    • Got the Stuff: Link Lockin, Edie Quill, Debra Cadabra, Tyler Vouch
  • Examine each student's resume to assign them to their appropriate roles:
    • Peter: Tyler Vouch
    • Chet: Link Lockin
    • Ruby: Debra Cadabra
    • Detective: Edie Quill

Suit Yourself

  • Proceed to the Costume Shop, which is the blue building up the first set of stairs in the Arts campus, and talk to Professor Slip.
  • Examine the fabric laid out on the table, trace the letter parts connected by lines to spell out YARM, and input this code into the lock box on the left-hand side of the room to retrieve scissors.
  • Use the scissors to cut out the moustache on the table.
  • Approach the chest on the opposite side of the room, which features two locks. Order the dresses to the left by size (tallest to shortest) for the left lock combination 26013, and order them by rainbow colors for the color-based lock combination 21306.
  • Open the chest to collect the puzzle patch kit, then use it on the holey cape to the right. Match the pieces to their corresponding holes: the first piece goes in the bottom hole, the second in the third hole, the third in the top hole, the fourth in the fourth hole, and the fifth piece in the second hole.

Tips

  • Keep a close eye on student resumes and audition side notes during the Theater Workshop sequence to avoid misallocating roles.
  • When solving the dual-lock chest puzzle in the Costume Shop, carefully verify the dress ordering criteria (size versus color) to input the correct numerical combinations (26013 and 21306) on the first try.

Rewards

  • Successfully unlocking the Arts Campus grants the "Acting Out" achievement.
  • Completing the associated tasks rewards progression items such as the puzzle patch kit and unlocks access further into the chapter's activities.
